Needle 3: K1, knit in stitch below previous stitch, K7
   Needle 4: Knit all stitches

Knit next round increasing just after the marker on needle 2 and just before the marker on needle 3, as described above.

Repeat from * 4 more times (total of 14 sts between markers)

Knit 1 round.

Knit next round until you get to the 1st marker, remove it, K1, move the remaining 4 sts on needle 2 and the first 4 sts on needle 3 to scrap yarn, K1, remove marker, knit to end of round. (This joins the hand back together above the opening for the thumb.)

Knit all stitches next round.

K1, K2tog all around (16 sts remain)

Move thumb stitches from scrap yarn back to DPns. (4 – 4– 4 sts)
Knit 6 rounds

K2tog all around (6 sts remain)

Cut yarn, leaving a tail, thread tail through 6 remaining sts and pull tight.
Secure end.

Make a crochet chain from the cast on tail, then sew down into loop.
